Bare-root roses are available to order now, with deliveries starting on 26 October. Close ↑
Bare-root roses are lifted only after they enter dormancy and the shoots have fully matured and hardened. Lifting them too early can stress the plants and leave young growth insufficiently mature.
We do not force the season simply to ship earlier. We wait for the right point in the plant’s natural cycle, so you receive a strong, well-matured rose ready for planting and the season ahead.
What about colder regions and winter frost?
Waiting until the shoots have fully matured helps the plants enter winter better prepared for low temperatures.
Famous Roses provides a 180-day establishment guarantee for bare-root roses.

Discover a different composition with every flower of Claude Monet®, a Delbard Hybrid Tea rose from the Roses de Peintres collection. Its large blooms combine white, yellow and pink in irregular stripes and splashes, so no two flowers look exactly alike. Repeat flowering from May until the first frost keeps the display changing throughout the season.
Choose it if you want a medium-sized rose whose colouring feels painted rather than patterned, bringing the changing light and spontaneity of an Impressionist canvas into the garden.

Full description:
Claude Monet® is a rose shaped by light. White, yellow and pink appear in irregular strokes, softening or intensifying as each flower opens. No two blooms are completely alike, and the bush continually offers new combinations.
Associated with Delbard's celebrated Roses de Peintres collection and introduced in 1992, the variety reflects the Impressionists' fascination with changing colour and light. The name Claude Monet is especially fitting for a rose whose appearance changes from one flower to the next.
The large striped flowers stand out clearly against glossy green foliage. A light fruity fragrance adds a gentle sensory note without competing with the visual effect.
Claude Monet® flowers repeatedly from May until the first frost and grows to about 80–100 cm, making it easy to use in rose beds, mixed borders, specimen planting or a large container on a sunny terrace.
Its good disease resistance, sunny disposition and hardiness to around -20°C in suitable conditions make it an approachable choice for gardeners who want unusual colour without excessive fuss.
