Papa Meilland is a rose that turns fragrance into a memory. Its velvety red petals reveal dark, almost black-blue reflections in the light, creating a flower that feels rich, sensual and deeply elegant.
Created by the House of Meilland Richardier, this celebrated rose stands out through the strength of its perfume, the depth of its colour and the classic beauty of its large hybrid tea blooms. Each flower has around 30–35 petals, giving it a full, graceful form without losing its refined simplicity.
The plant is sturdy and elegant, with abundant foliage and a mature height of approximately 1 metre. In the garden, Papa Meilland brings a confident focal point to rose beds and borders, especially where a deep red rose is needed to add contrast, romance and intensity.
