Bare-root roses are available to order now, with deliveries starting on 26 October. Close ↑

Bare-root roses are lifted only after they enter dormancy and the shoots have fully matured and hardened. Lifting them too early can stress the plants and leave young growth insufficiently mature.

We do not force the season simply to ship earlier. We wait for the right point in the plant’s natural cycle, so you receive a strong, well-matured rose ready for planting and the season ahead.

What about colder regions and winter frost?

Waiting until the shoots have fully matured helps the plants enter winter better prepared for low temperatures.

Famous Roses provides a 180-day establishment guarantee for bare-root roses.

Full description:

Soleil Vertical® lives up to its name: a vertical sun for the garden. Its deep yellow flowers illuminate walls, pergolas and other supports with the kind of colour that changes the atmosphere of an entire space.

Created by Georges Delbard in 2009 under the varietal name Delsar, this vigorous climbing rose reaches approximately 2–3 metres. Its stems should be arched and tied to a support as they grow.

The flowering is particularly generous and repeat-flowering, with successive displays from June to October. The large double yellow blooms are fragrant and stand out against healthy foliage.

Very good disease resistance is one of Soleil Vertical®'s practical strengths. It is also hardy to around -20°C and adapts to a wide range of garden soils when planted in a sunny position.

Delbard records five medals for the variety, confirming that its colour, flowering and garden performance have been recognised beyond the home garden.
