Famous Roses Guarantee

Famous Roses Guarantee

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Every rose we send reflects the Famous Roses commitment to healthy plants, true-to-name varieties and helpful growing advice. Our additional six-month Growth and Variety Guarantee gives you peace of mind as your roses establish in the garden.

This is a voluntary commercial guarantee provided by GREEN-E CONCEPT S.R.L., trading as Famous Roses. It is separate from, and does not reduce, your rights under applicable consumer law.

1. Our quality commitment

We select and inspect plants before dispatch and aim to supply sound roots, grafts and stems, with an identifying label for each rose. If your order arrives damaged, faulty or different from what you ordered, you have the consumer rights described in Section 5 below, independently of our commercial guarantee.

2. Our six-month Growth and Variety Guarantee

Our additional commercial guarantee applies for six calendar months from the date you receive your plants.

Growth: when a rose fails to establish

If your rose fails to establish despite appropriate planting and care, contact us within the guarantee period. For an accepted claim, you may choose a replacement plant or a refund of the affected plant's purchase price.

The replacement plant is free. Under this additional voluntary growth guarantee, you pay the delivery costs for the replacement. If you prefer not to pay those costs, you may choose the refund instead. No delivery charge applies where a statutory remedy must be provided free of charge.

Variety: when the plant is not true to name

We guarantee that the plant supplied is the variety ordered. If a rose proves to be a different variety, contact us with reasonable supporting information. We will assess the matter and arrange an appropriate replacement or refund, without necessary return or replacement delivery costs to you.

A variety discrepancy may only become apparent after flowering. The six-month commercial guarantee does not shorten any statutory rights that may still apply when this is discovered.

Replacement availability

Where available, we will offer the same variety. With your agreement, you may instead choose a variety of equivalent value or wait for the original to become available. Any price difference for a more expensive variety will be agreed with you beforehand. You never have to accept a different variety or wait indefinitely; for an accepted claim you may choose a refund instead.

3. How to make a guarantee claim

Contact us at info@famousroses.eu and provide, where reasonably possible:

  • Your order number or other reasonable proof of purchase.
  • Photographs of the rose and the problem.
  • The breeder or plant label, if available, or other information identifying the rose.
  • Relevant details of planting, watering, soil and growing conditions.

A missing original receipt or label does not automatically invalidate a claim where other reliable evidence is available. Our horticultural team may ask for reasonable additional information. Where practical, contact us before discarding the plant; we will explain if a return is necessary.

4. What the additional commercial guarantee excludes

The voluntary guarantee does not cover plant problems caused by external factors unrelated to the quality of the rose supplied, such as:

  • Incorrect planting, unsuitable soil or growing conditions.
  • Insufficient watering, overwatering, neglect or inappropriate care.
  • Incorrect use of fertilisers, pesticides or other treatments.
  • Pests, disease, animals or damage arising after delivery.
  • Extreme weather, including severe frost, drought or flooding.

These exclusions apply where those circumstances caused the problem. They do not exclude defects already present on delivery or restrict statutory consumer rights.

5. Damaged or incorrect plants on delivery: your legal rights

If plants arrive damaged, faulty or different from your order, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Reporting visible transport damage within 24 hours is recommended to help us investigate living plants, but it is not a condition of your statutory rights. Accepting a damaged parcel does not waive those rights.

Where consumer law provides a right to a free replacement or another statutory remedy, Famous Roses will cover necessary delivery or return costs as required. The delivery-charge rule for our voluntary growth guarantee does not apply to such statutory remedies.

For withdrawal, additional voluntary returns, refunds and your full statutory protections, see our Returns, Refunds and Famous Roses Guarantee Policy.
