Bare-root roses are available to order now, with deliveries starting on 26 October. Close ↑
Bare-root roses are lifted only after they enter dormancy and the shoots have fully matured and hardened. Lifting them too early can stress the plants and leave young growth insufficiently mature.
We do not force the season simply to ship earlier. We wait for the right point in the plant’s natural cycle, so you receive a strong, well-matured rose ready for planting and the season ahead.
What about colder regions and winter frost?
Waiting until the shoots have fully matured helps the plants enter winter better prepared for low temperatures.
Famous Roses provides a 180-day establishment guarantee for bare-root roses.

Guirlande d'Amour® is a highly fragrant Climbing Rose and Hybrid Musk bred by Louis Lens, covered in large pyramidal clusters of small cream-white, semi-double flowers. Introduced in 1993, it repeat flowers from June to October and can be grown either as a climber or as a generous free-standing shrub.
Choose it if you want fragrance, softness and abundance from a rose that can dress a pergola or wall without losing the natural grace of a flowering shrub.

Full description:
Guirlande d'Amour® lives up to its name: a true garland of white flowers and fragrance. Its small, semi-double blooms open flat in large pyramidal clusters that can carry up to around 80 flowers, sometimes revealing their yellow stamens at the centre.
Bred by Louis Lens and introduced in 1993 under the varietal name LENalbi, this Hybrid Musk combines the generosity of a shrub with the reach of a climber. Lens recommends it both as a free-growing shrub and as a climbing rose on pergolas, walls, fences and pyramids.
The flowers are cream white, about 3 cm across and very fragrant. They recover well after rain and keep the display fresh rather than untidy. Flowering repeats from June to October.
Guirlande d'Amour® reaches approximately 175–300 cm in height. It has a compact habit for its size, tolerates partial shade with more than three hours of sun and is hardy to around −15°C.
It can also be grown in a large pot and works beautifully in naturalistic planting, where the abundance of small flowers softens surrounding structures rather than overpowering them.
