Chippendale never presents the garden with only one colour. Its dark orange buds gradually unfold into richly filled flowers touched with peach, apricot, yellow and warm pink, allowing several stages of colour to appear across the bush at the same time. The result is a display that continually changes without losing its natural harmony.

Created by Rosen Tantau, Chippendale belongs to the breeder’s collection of nostalgic roses. Its rounded, densely petalled blooms recall the generous forms of historic garden roses, while its compact growth and repeated flowering provide the performance expected from a modern variety.

The flowers reach approximately 8–10 cm across and release a strong fruity-sweet fragrance. Planting Chippendale near a terrace, entrance, seating area or frequently used path allows its perfume to become part of the everyday garden experience.

Flowering continues in repeated flushes throughout the season. The plant develops into a compact, upright and bushy rose approximately 70–100 cm tall, with bright dark green foliage that creates an attractive background for the changing shades of its blooms.

Its balanced dimensions make Chippendale suitable for dedicated rose beds, mixed borders, group planting and individual positions. It can also be grown successfully in a large container, where its flowers and fragrance can be enjoyed more closely on a terrace or balcony.
