Full description:
René Goscinny had a remarkable gift for creating characters that stayed with people long after the story had ended. This rose follows the same path. From the moment its first flowers open, it becomes one of those unforgettable personalities in the garden — welcoming, expressive and impossible to overlook.
Created by the House of Meilland Richardier, René Goscinny quickly earned international recognition. In 2001 it received the prestigious Golden Rose of Geneva and was also honoured in Le Roeulx, Belgium, celebrated for the rare combination of beauty, fragrance and outstanding garden performance.
Its large flowers, formed by around 25 petals, glow in rich orange shades that seem to change with the light. Their remarkable fragrance combines notes of ripe peach, linden blossom and grapefruit, creating a perfume that is as memorable as the flower itself. Blooming repeatedly throughout the season, this hybrid tea rose reaches approximately 80–100 cm in height and brings lasting colour and fragrance to borders, rose beds and feature plantings.
Like the stories that made René Goscinny famous, this rose leaves a lasting impression. It is equally beautiful in bouquets and floral arrangements, where the blooms remain fresh for around 7–10 days, allowing their colour and fragrance to continue bringing joy indoors long after they have been picked.
