Bare-root roses are available to order now. We guarantee growth & variety. Delivery November 2026. Close ↑
Bare-root roses are lifted only after they enter dormancy and the shoots have fully matured and hardened. Lifting them too early can stress the plants and leave young growth insufficiently mature.
We do not force the season simply to ship earlier. We wait for the right point in the plant’s natural cycle, so you receive a strong, well-matured rose ready for planting and the season ahead.
What about colder regions and winter frost?
Waiting until the shoots have fully matured helps the plants enter winter better prepared for low temperatures.
Famous Roses provides a 6 months establishment guarantee for bare-root roses.
Eisvogel is a nostalgic hybrid tea rose with large nostalgic flowers in shades of pink softened by delicate purple and warm apricot tones, strong fragrance and repeat flowering throughout the season. Created by Rosen Tantau in 2016, it combines unusual colour, elegant flower form and excellent suitability for both gardens and cut flowers.
Choose it if you want a fragrant rose with distinctive colour, romantic flower shape and a garden presence that feels refined, expressive and beautifully memorable.

Full description:
Some roses attract attention through colour, others through fragrance. Eisvogel creates its own category through atmosphere. Its large nostalgic blooms open in an unusual palette of soft pink enriched by subtle purple and warm apricot nuances, creating flowers that seem to change gently with the light and reveal new details each day.
Fragrance is one of Eisvogel’s great strengths. Rich, expressive and impossible to ignore, it transforms the experience of the garden from visual to sensory. This is the kind of rose that naturally belongs near terraces, pathways and places where flowers are meant to be admired slowly rather than simply observed.
This is one of those roses we would recommend when the garden deserves something a little less expected. There is something quietly luxurious about Eisvogel: elegant flower form, unusual colour harmony and a presence that feels both nostalgic and modern at the same time.
Created by Rosen Tantau in Germany in 2016, Eisvogel offers more than beauty in the landscape. Its flowers also perform exceptionally well when cut, maintaining elegance in bouquets and floral arrangements for several days. Combined with repeat flowering and balanced growth, this is a rose designed to be enjoyed both outdoors and inside the home.
