Bare-root roses are available to order now. We guarantee growth & variety. Delivery November 2026. Close ↑
Bare-root roses are lifted only after they enter dormancy and the shoots have fully matured and hardened. Lifting them too early can stress the plants and leave young growth insufficiently mature.
We do not force the season simply to ship earlier. We wait for the right point in the plant’s natural cycle, so you receive a strong, well-matured rose ready for planting and the season ahead.
What about colder regions and winter frost?
Waiting until the shoots have fully matured helps the plants enter winter better prepared for low temperatures.
Famous Roses provides a 6 months establishment guarantee for bare-root roses.
Fill your garden or terrace with the warm colours of Mango®, a compact Kordes Floribunda rose whose orange-yellow flowers glow against rich green foliage. Its semi-double blooms measure approximately 5–6 cm and appear abundantly throughout the season, creating a cheerful display for daily enjoyment. Growing to just 60 cm high and 40 cm wide, this repeat-flowering rose is particularly well suited to borders, pots and balcony planters, with the added advantage of continuing to bloom without constant deadheading.
Choose it if you want plenty of warm, vibrant colour from a small, manageable rose, especially for containers, sunny terraces or garden borders where easy maintenance matters more than strong fragrance.

Full description:
There is something wonderfully appropriate about the name Mango. Its flowers bring together the golden yellow and glowing orange of the ripe tropical fruit, creating a warm, lively display that seems to capture the colours of summer. Even a single plant can bring a welcome burst of brightness to a terrace or garden border.
Introduced by W. Kordes' Söhne in 2019, Mango belongs to the German breeder's Klima-Rosen® collection, a range developed with adaptability to modern growing conditions in mind. It combines abundant flowering with compact proportions, making it particularly useful where garden space is limited.
The semi-double flowers measure approximately 5–6 cm across and appear in generous numbers against rich green foliage. Their orange and yellow shades may change subtly with temperature, sunlight and flower maturity, giving the display a lively, varied character rather than one uniform colour.
Mango is especially rewarding for gardeners who prefer a relatively uncomplicated rose. It flowers repeatedly and continues producing fresh blooms even without constant removal of faded flowers. Its fragrance is light, so the main attraction is the abundance of colour rather than perfume.
Reaching approximately 60 cm in height and 40 cm in width, Mango forms a neat, bushy shrub that fits naturally into the front of borders, small rose beds and group plantings. Kordes also recommends it for containers and warmer positions, making it an attractive choice for sunny terraces and balconies.
Its garden qualities have received international recognition. In 2021, Mango won the Prix de l'Environnement at the Orléans International Rose Competition, recognising its outstanding health performance in the competition. An Honourable Mention followed at Hradec Králové in 2022.
Mango proves that a rose does not need to grow large to make an impression. With its tropical colouring, generous repeat flowering and compact habit, it brings the pleasure of a colourful rose garden into even the smallest sunny spaces.

Frequently asked questions:
What colour is Mango?
Mango produces flowers in warm shades of orange and yellow, reminiscent of a ripe mango. The balance of colours can change slightly with temperature, sunlight and the stage of flower opening.
Are Mango's flowers double or semi-double?
The flowers are semi-double, with a relatively open form that gives the plant a fresh, natural appearance.
How large are Mango's flowers?
The blooms measure approximately 5–6 cm across. Although individually modest in size, they are produced abundantly, creating a colourful overall display.
Is Mango strongly fragrant?
No. Kordes rates its fragrance at approximately 2 out of 5. Mango is primarily a rose to choose for its vibrant colour, abundant flowers and compact growth.
Does Mango repeat flower?
Yes. Mango produces successive flushes throughout the growing season, providing fresh colour after the initial display.
Does Mango need regular deadheading?
One of its practical advantages is that it continues producing new flowers without constant deadheading. Removing faded blooms can still help maintain a tidy appearance.
How tall does Mango grow?
Mango typically reaches approximately 60 cm in height and 40 cm in width, forming a compact, bushy shrub.
Is Mango suitable for a small garden?
Yes. Its compact dimensions make it an excellent choice for smaller borders, courtyard gardens and other spaces where a larger rose would be difficult to accommodate.
Can Mango be grown in a pot?
Yes. Kordes specifically recommends Mango for container growing. Choose a sufficiently large pot with drainage holes, use a suitable growing medium and water regularly during warm weather.
Is Mango suitable for a balcony?
Yes, provided the balcony receives adequate sunlight and can safely accommodate a suitable container. Its compact growth makes it particularly attractive for balcony planters and terrace pots.
Does Mango tolerate hot weather?
Kordes identifies Mango as suitable for warmer growing positions. As with other roses, adequate watering remains important, particularly when the plant is grown in a container.
Is Mango a low-maintenance rose?
It is a practical choice for gardeners seeking relatively easy maintenance, thanks to its compact growth and ability to continue flowering without constant deadheading. Regular watering, feeding, pruning and basic plant-health checks are still necessary.
Is Mango resistant to diseases?
Mango received the Prix de l'Environnement at Orléans in 2021 for its health performance in the competition. This is an encouraging indication of garden performance, although no rose is completely immune to fungal diseases.
Can Mango be planted in groups?
Yes. Planting several Mango roses together creates a stronger mass of orange-yellow flowers, particularly effective along the front of a border or in a dedicated rose bed.
What does Klima-Rosen mean?
Klima-Rosen® is a Kordes collection bringing together rose varieties selected with adaptability to modern climatic growing conditions in mind. Mango belongs to this range.
Has Mango received any awards?
Yes. Mango received the Prix de l'Environnement at the Orléans International Rose Competition in 2021 and an Honourable Mention at Hradec Králové in 2022.
Which plants combine well with Mango?
Blue salvia, lavender, nepeta and purple-flowering perennials create an attractive contrast with its warm orange-yellow blooms. White flowers and ornamental grasses offer a softer, more contemporary combination.
What makes Mango different from other Floribunda roses?
Its combination of tropical orange-yellow colouring, abundant repeat flowering, compact 60 cm growth, suitability for containers and reduced need for deadheading makes it especially useful in smaller gardens and on terraces.
What does the rose look like on delivery?
Its appearance depends on the delivery season and natural stage of growth. For examples and explanations, see What roses look like on delivery →.
