Bare-root roses are available to order now, with deliveries starting on 26 October. Close ↑
Bare-root roses are lifted only after they enter dormancy and the shoots have fully matured and hardened. Lifting them too early can stress the plants and leave young growth insufficiently mature.
We do not force the season simply to ship earlier. We wait for the right point in the plant’s natural cycle, so you receive a strong, well-matured rose ready for planting and the season ahead.
What about colder regions and winter frost?
Waiting until the shoots have fully matured helps the plants enter winter better prepared for low temperatures.
Famous Roses provides a 180-day establishment guarantee for bare-root roses.

Camille Pissarro® is a Delbard Floribunda with exuberant striped flowers in red, pink, yellow and white, each bloom forming its own unique composition. Repeat flowering from May to October, good disease resistance and a distinctive fragrance with rose, apple and ivy notes make it as rewarding to grow as it is striking to look at.
Choose it if you want a rose that turns the garden into a living gallery, with changing colours, generous flowering and a playful artistic character that never looks exactly the same twice.

Full description:
Camille Pissarro® brings the spirit of Impressionism into the garden. Red, pink, yellow and white appear in irregular stripes, splashes and brushstroke-like markings, so every flower develops its own balance of colour.
Created by Georges Delbard in 1996 and part of the celebrated Roses de Peintres collection, it was named after the pioneering Impressionist and Post-Impressionist painter Camille Pissarro. The variety captures the same fascination with changing light and colour that defined his work.
The flowers are produced generously in clusters from May to October. Their tones intensify in sunshine, while the dark green foliage provides a calm background that makes the multicoloured blooms appear even brighter.
Its fragrance is unusual and memorable, combining rose with apple and ivy notes. The flowers are also suitable for bouquets, where their individual patterns create naturally varied arrangements.
Camille Pissarro® reaches approximately 80–100 cm and prefers a sunny position. It has good disease resistance, tolerates a wide range of soils with suitable drainage and is hardy to around -20°C once established.
The variety received second prize at the Genoa Rose Competition in Italy, recognising the originality of its changing colours and flowering performance.
