Bare-root roses are available to order now, with deliveries starting on 26 October. Close ↑

Bare-root roses are lifted only after they enter dormancy and the shoots have fully matured and hardened. Lifting them too early can stress the plants and leave young growth insufficiently mature.

We do not force the season simply to ship earlier. We wait for the right point in the plant’s natural cycle, so you receive a strong, well-matured rose ready for planting and the season ahead.

What about colder regions and winter frost?

Waiting until the shoots have fully matured helps the plants enter winter better prepared for low temperatures.

Famous Roses provides a 180-day establishment guarantee for bare-root roses.

Full description:

Domaine de Chantilly® carries its name with ease. The flowers have the opulence of a formal French garden, yet their shifting shades of pink and cream keep the effect soft and romantic rather than formal.

Created by Pépinières et Roseraies Georges Delbard and named at the Journées des Plantes de Chantilly on 19 May 2017, this modern Hybrid Tea rose bears the varietal name Delagak.

Deep pink buds open into large double flowers, typically carried in clusters of five to seven. As they mature, the petals soften towards cream and reveal a luminous centre. The dark green foliage creates a rich background for the flowers.

The fragrance is intense and distinctive, combining yellow peach, apricot, rose and citrus notes. Its perfume received First Prize at the Madrid International Rose Competition in 2015.

Domaine de Chantilly® flowers abundantly from May until the first frosts and forms a vigorous upright bush around 100–120 cm tall. Delbard rates its disease resistance as exceptional, and the variety received the ADR label in 2019.

Its international distinctions also include First Prize from the Association des Amis de la Rose de Sant Feliu de Llobregat and a Bronze Medal at Baden-Baden in 2015.

About roses

I received my order of five roses which they arrived very well packed and with (very surprising for me ) clean bare roots. I planted them exactly as I was advised in pots, and now I’m expecting to see the results. As for now only two opened a few little leaves..
