Paljasjuurseid roose saab juba tellida ning tarned algavad 26. oktoobril. Sulge ↑

Famous Roses annab paljasjuursetele roosidele 180-päevase juurdumisgarantii.

Full Description:

Julie Andrieu celebrates the simple pleasure of gathering around beauty, fragrance and colour. Inspired by the French food critic and television presenter whose name it bears, this Delbard creation delights the senses in much the same way as an unforgettable meal—layer by layer, revealing something new every time.

The generously double flowers contain more than 80 petals and combine creamy yellow with delicate pink striping around a luminous yellow centre. Their colouring gives the climbing rose a lively, painterly appearance throughout the season.

One of its greatest attractions is its exceptionally fruity fragrance. Rich and inviting, it fills the surrounding space, making Julie Andrieu an excellent choice for pergolas, terraces and pathways where the perfume can be enjoyed up close.

Flowering begins in May and continues in repeated flushes until the first frost. The vigorous, well-branched climbing rose reaches approximately 1.5 to 2 metres in height. Its dark, glossy foliage provides a striking backdrop for the striped flowers, while its exceptional disease resistance supports reliable garden performance.

The flowers are equally rewarding indoors. Cut stems create colourful bouquets with a pleasant fragrance and remain attractive for around five days in a vase.

Frequently asked questions →

Frequently asked questions:

Why is Julie Andrieu considered such a fragrant climbing rose?
It is renowned for its exceptionally fruity fragrance, which becomes especially noticeable when planted close to terraces, seating areas or garden paths.

What colours do the flowers have?
The blooms combine creamy yellow with delicate pink striping around a luminous yellow centre, creating a lively, painterly display.

Does Julie Andrieu flower repeatedly?
Yes. It blooms in repeated flushes from May until the first frost, providing colour and fragrance over a long season.

How tall does the plant grow?
It reaches approximately 1.5 to 2 metres, making it ideal for smaller pergolas, arches, fences, walls and decorative trellises.

Does it need a climbing support?
Yes. Like all climbing roses, it should be tied to a sturdy support, as it does not naturally cling to walls or structures.

How should I train the stems?
Guide the main canes horizontally or diagonally whenever possible. This encourages flowering shoots to develop along more of the stems and creates a fuller display.

Can I use the flowers in bouquets?
Yes. Their vibrant colours and exceptional fragrance make them excellent cut flowers, remaining attractive for approximately five days in a vase.

Which companion plants work well with Julie Andrieu?
Lavender, nepeta, white roses and blue flowering perennials beautifully complement its creamy yellow and pink-striped flowers while allowing the blooms to remain the focal point.

Is it suitable for a smaller garden?
Yes. Its moderate climbing height allows it to provide vertical interest without overwhelming more compact spaces.

What does the rose look like on delivery?
Its appearance depends on the delivery season and natural stage of growth. For examples and explanations, see What roses look like on delivery →.

What should I do after planting?
Plant in full sun near a sturdy support, water thoroughly and begin tying in new shoots as they develop. For detailed guidance, visit our complete planting guide →.
