Charming Piano

Charming Piano is a romantic and elegant rose from Rosen Tantau’s highly regarded Piano series, admired for its nostalgic, richly petalled flowers and the neat, well-balanced shape of the shrub.

The flowers are a beautiful soft pink, with a refined and romantic appearance. They open slowly, retaining their compact, elegant form for a long time — a characteristic feature of the Piano series. When fully open, the blooms reach approximately 6–8 cm in diameter, and their richly petalled shape gives the plant the charm of classic old-fashioned roses.

Charming Piano is a repeat-flowering variety, producing new flushes of blooms throughout the season. The combination of delicate colour, nostalgic flower form and a well-structured growth habit makes it particularly well suited to romantic garden designs.

The plant forms a compact, bushy and upright shrub, reaching approximately 70–100 cm in height at maturity. Its balanced proportions make it easy to incorporate into flower beds, borders or mixed planting schemes alongside perennials.

The flowers are also suitable for cutting, and Tantau values Charming Piano as a variety for professional cut-flower production as well. Its elegant appearance makes it ideal for romantic bouquets and floral arrangements.

For group planting, Tantau recommends approximately 4–5 plants per m², corresponding to a planting distance of around 45–50 cm.
