Wedding Piano

Wedding Piano® is a Hybrid Tea rose bred by the prestigious German rose house Rosen Tantau, a refined variety from the celebrated Piano® family, admired for its romantic creamy-white flowers, distinctive globular form and very good rain resistance.

Its flowers display an elegant creamy-white colour, with delicate ivory tones that give them a warm and sophisticated appearance. The buds open slowly, gradually developing into true romantic spheres of petals, so characteristic of roses from the Piano® collection.

The flowers measure approximately 6–8 cm in diameter and are often accompanied by side buds, creating small natural bouquets directly on the plant and giving the shrub a rich, impressive appearance.

One of the great strengths of Wedding Piano® is the way its flowers open slowly and evenly, retaining their elegant shape for an extended period. Rosen Tantau particularly highlights the flowers’ very good resistance to rain, an important quality for a rose with such pale petals.

The fragrance is delicate, so Wedding Piano® impresses above all through the elegance and form of its flowers, its refined colour and their excellent longevity.

Flowering is repeated, with fresh flushes appearing throughout the season.

The plant forms a compact, bushy and upright shrub, reaching approximately 100–130 cm in height at maturity. Its balanced habit allows it to fit beautifully into elegant flower beds and borders as well as mixed perennial plantings.

The flowers are also particularly well suited to cutting. Wedding Piano® is professionally grown by Rosen Tantau as a cut rose, where it is valued for stems of approximately 50–70 cm, the slow opening of its flowers and their excellent vase life.

For group planting, Rosen Tantau recommends approximately 4–5 plants per m², corresponding to a planting distance of around 45–50 cm.

Its horticultural qualities have also received international recognition, with Wedding Piano® winning a Gold Medal in Kortrijk, Belgium, in 2017.

Elegant, romantic and highly versatile, Wedding Piano® is an ideal choice for gardens where a sophisticated creamy-white rose is desired. Its full, long-lasting flowers make it equally suitable for the garden, elegant bouquets and floral arrangements and, as its name suggests, for romantic wedding decorations.
