Bare-root roses are lifted only after they enter dormancy and the shoots have fully matured and hardened. Lifting them too early can stress the plants and leave young growth insufficiently mature.

We do not force the season simply to ship earlier. We wait for the right point in the plant’s natural cycle, so you receive a strong, well-matured rose ready for planting and the season ahead.

What about colder regions and winter frost?

Waiting until the shoots have fully matured helps the plants enter winter better prepared for low temperatures.

In 1999 creëerde Maison Tantau een spectaculaire floribunda roos ter ere van de grote Duitse actrice Heidi Klum. Maar om de naam van de beroemde actrice waardig te zijn, moesten de bloemen van deze roos ongelooflijk mooi zijn en moest ze ook een sterke, verleidelijke geur hebben om het publiek vanaf de eerste bloei te betoveren. Maison Tantau heeft het echt goed gedaan!

Heidi Klum heeft prachtige paarse bloemen met meer dan 40 bloemblaadjes en een grootte van ongeveer 9 cm. De geur is sterk en dromerig en de struik heeft een compacte groei en een rijke bloei. Heidi Klum bloeit en verovert het hele seizoen.
